To celebrate International Project Management Day, the Tasmanian chapter invites you to join us for a fireside chat with Bess Clark, CEO of Marinus Link.
From Hobart, Bess leads a high-profile renewable energy and electricity transmission project, Marinus Link. Marinus Link is a proposed two-way undersea and underground electricity and telecommunications connector between Tasmania and Victoria. With a 1500 megawatt capacity, the project is a vital part of Australia’s future clean energy network.
At peak construction, Marinus Link, together with TasNetworks’ North West Transmission Developments, will create around 1400 direct and indirect jobs in Tasmania and generate approximately $1.4 billion, particularly in the North West. The project will be a source of skills, training and workforce development in regional Tasmania and Victoria. Marinus Link is currently in the Design and Approvals Phase, which involves mapping out route options, undertaking surveys of the local areas, and cost analysis. The project is complex, and involves ongoing direct consultation with all levels of government and a wide range of business and community stakeholders.
Cocktails, canapes and networking will follow our presentation of the 2022 Project Management Achievement Awards. This is a great way to celebrate your team’s successes this year, connect with like-minded peers and benefit from current perspectives and thought leadership.
