In an increasingly complex and uncertain environment, project leaders must navigate multiple competing factors to make informed choices that drive project success. This webinar discusses the importance of making informed decisions in projects and explores the critical role of structured decision-making in project management, highlighting the importance of Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods in evaluating alternatives and optimizing project outcomes. 

This session, delivered as part of the AIPM Thought Leadership initiatives, will introduce practical techniques for structured decision-making, and demonstrate how MCDM methods can be integrated into project management practices, through several case studies. Course Chair at Victoria University & Lead of the AIPM Thought Leadership Community of Practice

Associate Professor Amir Ghapanchi is the Leader of the Thought Leadership Community of Practice at the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). Amir is also an Associate Professor and the Course Chair for the Master of Project Management at Victoria University, Melbourne. He has led several projects across various sectors, both in Australia and internationally, applying his expertise in strategic project leadership and decision-making. Amir has an extensive research portfolio, with over 120 refereed publications, including more than 70 articles in leading management and technology journals. His research focuses on project management, organizational adoption of technology, decision-making, and Generative AI, contributing valuable insights to both academia and industry.
