Sam Wilson-Haffenden
General Manager Major Projects at TasPorts
Sam is an engineer and naval architect working for the Tasmanian Ports Corporation as the General Manager Major Projects. He has worked in the civil and marine industries across a range of projects both in Australia and Europe. Sam is currently Project Director for TasPorts largest infrastructure project in 27 years, Devonport’s QuayLink. A $240m investment to future proof Devonport as a tourism and freight gateway for the next 50 years. The project will support the increase freight capacity by 40% and passenger numbers by 160,000 per year. He is also working on the Macquarie Wharf redevelopment project, the realignment of wharves 4, 5 and 6 to create a single continuous quay line to significantly increase utilisation of the Port of Hobart as the international gateway to the Southern Oceans.
