In response to power grid challenges due to South Australia’s world leading uptake of rooftop solar, SA Power Networks have developed and deployed a new ‘Flexible Exports’ service offering. Flexible Exports allows customers to export to the grid for the majority of the time, with exports reduced at rare times of grid constraint. This model developed by SAPN is now being rolled out across the country.

In this presentation, James will cover the journey of implementing Flexible Exports from inception, through pilot projects which ultimately led to a successful state-wide rollout.
