Ian Biggs

Senior Manager at Unitywater
Ian is the Senior Manager for the Unitywater Enterprise Portfolio Management Office. He has had a long and rewarding career in the Australian Defence Force and in project management, working primarily in the Defence and Aerospace sectors. He has led numerous portfolios of work and delivered many programs and projects. His current role is to design and implement a modern project management capability within Unitywater. Ian is a great advocate of the need to reset our project management mindset to better match the often uncertain and volatile Information/Digital Age project delivery context. He specialises in the tools, techniques used in ‘complex projects’ and conducts training and education in this discipline.

Ian is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM); a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), an AIPM RegPM Certification Assessor; he is a Certified and Practicing Portfolio Executive (CPPE); and Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) appointed by the UK Association for Project Management (APM).
