Industry Panel & Networking

The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM™) cordially invites you to attend an engaging and insightful event proudly organised by the AIPM™ WA Chapter Committee.

Join industry leaders from across the built environment sector for an evening of discussion, insights, and professional networking, as they share their unique perspectives on what employers are seeking in early-career professionals entering today’s workforce.

Facilitated by Professor Peng Wu, WA Chapter Lead of AIPM™ and Professor at the School of Design and the Built Environment at Curtin University, the panel will bring together representatives from government, recruitment, consultancy, and project management. Drawing on their diverse industry experience, panellists will explore the key qualities and capabilities that organisations value when recruiting and developing emerging professionals — including technical competence, communication skills, adaptability, initiative, professionalism, and the attributes that distinguish candidates in an increasingly competitive employment market.

Following the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an open networking session, enabling students and graduates to connect directly with employers, ask questions, and build valuable professional relationships across government, recruitment, consultancy, and project management sectors.

Light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
