South Australia's Energy Future: Project Managing Towards Zero Emissions 2050

South Australia has a goal of achieving 100% new renewable energy by 2027, and to achieve zero emissions by 2050. In 2021, South Australia met 100% of its operational demand from renewable resources on 180 days (49%).

Our panel of industry professionals will explore how Project Managers are key to driving this change. The event will include an open Q&A session, followed by an opportunity for networking.

Senior Project Manager at Aurecon

As a Project Manager, Louise consistently looks for opportunities to further collaborate and engage with the client organisation, while challenging and driving efficiencies and innovation. 
Louise prides herself on having a positive influence on the community and driving positive social value change in the organisation through active Jacobs Employee Network engagement and volunteering. Louise was also a finalist in the 2021 European Women in Construction and Engineering, Young Women in Construction 2021.
 


Thomas Coetzer 
Director, Sustainable Capital at Aurecon

Thomas is a program management professional with over 20 years of experience in developing, implementing and managing large-scale infrastructure capital projects and programs. Leading the integration of various program control functions and processes within the designated program management teams, Thomas has worked alongside key government and water authorities in Australia to develop and maintain complex amalgamated infrastructure portfolios. He assists clients in the development of their programs by focusing on the optimisation and continual alignment of the desired benefits of portfolios and programs with strategic organisational objectives in an agile and custom-fit manner. 


Ross Anderson 
SA Energy Sector Lead at Mott MacDonald 

Ross is a passionate South Australian who has spent his career providing client-side project management and engineering support to the energy sector. Ross has intimate knowledge of key project development challenges including grid connection approvals and managing interfaces between the different workstreams to project Financial Investment Decision. He also brings perspectives from supporting governments in implementing process change and system wide planning initiatives.



Colm Walsh
Project Manager at Hydrogen Jobs Plan KBR

Colm is Project Manager Non-Process Infrastructure at Hydrogen Jobs Plan. Colm is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM).
Colm has over 25 years' multi-sector engineering, project and program experience. He has managed the delivery of projects in Ireland, infrastructure in remote Australia and asset delivery and operations for private sector and government.
