AIPM™ Training and Development Day - Darwin

The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM™) is delighted to invite you to a series of in-person training and development days designed to energise, connect and build capability across the project management community.

In May 2026, AIPM™ will be delivering a highly interactive experience in Darwin, combining hands-on learning, professional development insights and meaningful networking.

Each session brings together formal and informal development opportunities, with a variety of interactive activities throughout the day.

What to Expect

Learning with LEGO® – Interactive Workshop

One of our most popular sessions, this immersive workshop introduces (or re-introduces) participants to Agile project management by quite literally learning through play.

Using LEGO bricks, participants build visible, tangible 3D models to represent ideas, challenges and solutions—bringing Agile and Scrum principles to life in a practical, memorable way.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have:

  • Experienced the Scrum Agile project lifecycle
  • Practised planning, estimating and risk management
  • Applied design thinking concepts
  • Gained a high-level understanding of visualisation techniques
  • Learned how to prioritise, plan and establish feedback loops in adaptive systems
  • Explored performance management and control techniques

The workshop focuses on Agile Scrum techniques and philosophy, aligned to adapted Agile principles including:

  • Early and continuous delivery of value
  • Welcoming changing requirements
  • Frequent delivery of working outputs
  • Close collaboration and face-to-face communication
  • Sustainable pace, simplicity and continuous improvement

This is a hands-on, practical session designed to be engaging, collaborative and directly applicable to real-world projects—whether you’re managing events, product launches, transformation initiatives or cross-functional work.

AIPM™ Certification & Training Information Session

This session provides an overview of the Registered Project Manager (RegPM™) certification—Australia’s most prominent, national, competency-based accreditation for project professionals.

Whether you’re looking to:

  • Validate your project management experience
  • Advance your career
  • Strengthen organisational capability

you’ll gain clear insight into the RegPM™ pathway, assessment process and professional benefits.

We’ll also explore the range of AIPM™ training courses available to support your development at every career stage.

Networking Opportunity

The formal sessions will conclude with a dedicated networking opportunity, giving you time to connect with peers, share experiences and strengthen professional relationships within your local project management community.
