Breaking barriers: Empowering women in both project management and freelancing

Seven years ago, Viviana began her journey as a consultant in digital strategy and communications, working with small businesses and migrant entrepreneurs. This career choice stemmed from the constant conflict between her professional and personal life. It seemed that being a mother, migrant, and woman overshadowed all her experience, knowledge, and academic achievements.

This challenge led to another: how to manage projects without the resources to hire experts to execute her strategies. In response, she started assembling teams of expert women in marketing, communications, and design, creating freelance teams to bring her projects to life. Today, she is developing a technological platform that merges project management with freelance outsourcing.

In this webinar, Viviana will share her journey, including insights from conversations with over 100 women in project management and freelancing. We’ll explore the inequities and injustices women face in the professional world. However, instead of just acknowledging these challenges, we must change the narrative and take action. While it's said that achieving full gender equality will take 286 years, it won't happen unless we start working together and forging new paths.

To register for an AIPM event, you’ll need to login to your AIPM account. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create an account with AIPM before you register.
