Inclusive Leadership

Inclusive leadership is no longer a “nice to have” capability for project professionals—it is fundamental to delivering successful outcomes in increasingly diverse, complex, and fast-paced environments. Projects bring together individuals from different disciplines, cultures, experiences, and perspectives. The ability to create an environment where all team members feel respected, heard, and able to contribute is critical to fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance.

For project professionals at all stages of their career, inclusive leadership strengthens the ability to build cohesive teams, navigate challenges, and maintain trust among stakeholders. Early-career practitioners benefit from developing awareness of how their behaviours impact others, while experienced leaders must actively shape team culture, address barriers to inclusion, and lead with empathy and confidence. Without these capabilities, projects risk disengagement, miscommunication, and missed opportunities for better outcomes.

Workshop Description
This workshop is designed to support project professionals in building an inclusive and confident leadership style through practical, real-world approaches. Participants will explore simple techniques to create respectful and psychologically safe team environments, while learning how to motivate others and effectively manage challenges as they arise. The workshop also focuses on identifying and addressing barriers to inclusion, helping participants lead more consciously and effectively.

Through guided activities and reflection, participants will develop greater emotional intelligence and self-awareness—key attributes of inclusive leaders. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with not only enhanced leadership insights, but also a practical plan to continue developing their capability as inclusive leaders, enabling them to lead teams that are more engaged, resilient, and successful.

The workshop is held online over two sessions.
